Présentation d’un rapport à Sciences-Po Paris

Governing the Global Drug Wars - Paris Report Launch

Intervenants : John Collins ; Joanne Csete ;
Animé par : Henri Bergeron ;

Mardi 26 février, à 16h30 au Centre d’Histoire de Sciences Po,

Salle de Conference Room, Rez-de-chaussée,

56 Rue Jacob 75006 Paris.

Since 1909 the international community has worked to eradicate the use of certain narcotics. A century on, the efforts are widely acknowledged to have failed, and worse, have spurred black market violence and human rights abuses. How did this drug control system arise, why has it proven so durable in the face of failure, and is there hope for reform ? These are the questions the recent LSE IDEAS ’Governing the Global Drug Wars’ report addresses. Join the report editor, John Collins and report contributor Joanne Csete for the Paris report launch followed by an audience discussion of the international drug control system.

Discussions will take place in English.
